Neil Johnson
February 27, 1941 - July 20, 2021

Neil Johnson, 80, passed away on July 20th. He was the husband of Judy Johnson. They shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Geneva, Illinois, he was the only child of Norman and Elberta Johnson. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in electrical engineering. He was employed at Leeds and Northrop in Pennsylvania before moving to Phoenix to work for Honeywell/Bull as an electrical engineer.

He enjoyed listening to music, watching science fiction movies, working on his computer and eating chocolate chip cookies by the dozen. He will be remembered for his intelligence and gentle nature.

He is survived by Judy, daughters Erica Jurisin (Brett), Renee Spellman (J. J.) and granddaughters Arianna and Emily.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. John's Lutheran Church, Glendale, AZ.

A private celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 28th beginning at 3:00. The service will be available for streaming through the church's website: www.stjchurchaz.org. Click on "join online worship".
