Melvin Covell Nichols, age 93, of Cumming, GA passed away July 20, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Evans Nichols, son, Stanley Nichols, brothers, Jimmy Elco Nichols, Tilmon Osco Nichols, and sister, Leona Gazaway. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-great grandfather. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper.
He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Patricia & Mike Swanson, of Cumming, GA, Sandra & Ricky Borum, of Cumming, GA, Theresa & David Walls, of Dawsonville, GA, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday July 23, 2021 at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
