Helen Louise Vetor
August 11, 1943 - July 17, 2021

Helen Louise Vetor, Fairmount, died July 17, 2021 at IU North Hospital in Carmel.
Helen was born in Marion, IN on 8/11/1943 to the late Richard and Betty Grim.
She was preceded in death by husband Darrell "Doc" Vetor, two sons Richard Kerrigan and Thomas Kerrigan, bonus son Michael Vetor, Parents Richard and Betty Grim, and sister Mary Matteson.
She worked as a cook in many restaurants throughout her younger years including Marion Cafeteria. She retired from Twoson in Matthews in 2006. She was also a farm wife and at one time milked cows with her husband.
Survivors include her daughter Carla (Bud) Shelton of Fairmount, and three wonderful bonus daughters Norma Sexton of Alexandria, Lydia Vetor of Summitville, Denise "Dee" Amos (Scott) of Summitville. Many grandchildren that were very special to her and even more great grandchildren as well as two special nieces Tina (Tim) Losure and Cathy (Billy) McQueen. She also loved and cared for many others in her home.
She was a very special lady to many. She loved her family very much and welcomed anyone in to her home for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. She loved having family together and taking care of people. She also loved to cook and made awesome noodles whether beef or chicken. One of her favorite things to do was play dice. Her favorite saying right before rolling the dice was "Come on Herbie"! We all loved playing with her. She also went through many, many decks of cards playing solitaire. She will always be remembered not only by her loving heart but also her funny and witty personality.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where services will be on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Visitation is from 10 AM- 1 PM with the funeral service at 1 PM with Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
