In loving memory of

Carol A. Luecht
December 21, 1936 - July 14, 2021

Carol Ann (Heuermann), Luecht, age 84. Carol passed away on July 14, at her residency at the Villas of Hollybrook Bellevue. She was born December 21, 1936 to Anna E. (Delicath) and Schweer H.J. Heuermann. She married Eilert H. Luecht, Jr., on July 7, 1956. He preceded her in death in 2003. Carol and Eilert were the proud parents of Sue (Kerry) Ramey, Laura (Kent) Tomblin, Anita (Kelly) Burnett, and Kalon (Dan) Geltmaker, along with adopted son Trach (Cuc) Pham. Carol was blessed with six grandchildren: Carrie Ramey-Zilch, Dalton (Sara) Farris, Cody (Jena) Farris, Annie (Brad) Gordon, Jordan (Josh) Ferrero, and Taylor (Earl) Geltmaker-Webster. Extended family include Amanda Tomblin, Misti Tomblin-Carr, Michelle Tomblin, and Mallori Tomblin-Ruffolo; Jessica Grant and Elise Stokes; Brittany and Gina Pham. Great grandchildren include Brayden, Ryleigh (proceeded in death 2006), and Abigail Zilch; Gianna Farris; Oliver Gordon; Clay and Micah Ferrero; Kadan Geltmaker; along with Myles, Madyn, Masyn, Mac, and Ava Burke; Carter Ruffolo; Eddie and Audrey Grant; and Everly Stokes. Carol's life began on a farm. There she learned the value of hard work, the importance of family, added to that, a fervent love for the Lord. These three traits defined the way she lived. Her lifetime of answering God's callings made this world a better place. Some of her favorite pastimes included: supporting St Jude's Children Hospital, the Human Services Thanksgiving Dinner, Grace and Peace Lutheran Church, several camping clubs, even helping others when selling real estate for Maloof Realty and Remax (Million Dollar Seller). Whenever, and wherever, she saw a way to help others she rose to the occasion. Through it all, and by her side, was her beloved husband Eilert. The two of them touched the lives of many. Heaven rejoices, the world mourns.
A service will be held at Grace and Peace Lutheran Church (7611 N Knoxville Ave, Peoria, 61614). Visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by a service at 11:00am. The service will be Live Streamed (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuSkr2bjx_MYGOPOMoH-HPw). Masks are appreciated. Cremation at a future date by Oaks-Hines Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or to Grace and Peace Church.
