Grant Gregory Hintze
August 25, 1948 - July 8, 2021

Grant Gregory Hintze peacefully surrendered his earthly bonds at his home in Cave Creek, Arizona, on July 8, 2021, comforted in his final moments by friends and loved ones. His loss will be felt by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by sisters Leslie and Susan, brothers Helaman and Vaughn, and his devoted life companion, Karen Williams. Gregg also possessed a cadre of lifelong friends who will forever mourn his absence.

Blessed with extraordinary talent and ability, Gregg lived a life of excellence and achievement. A proud graduate of the West Point Academy and Naval Postgraduate School, Gregg wore the tab of an Airborne Ranger and honorably served in military intelligence before embarking on a career in the corporate world.

His brilliance and drive led him to unparalleled success in the aerospace industry. Trained as an engineer and educated in finance, Gregg's specialty was rescuing struggling companies. He rose to positions of CEO or president of multiple major corporations including Goodrich Aerospace, Meggitt Safety Systems, Infinisys, Aerospace Defense Technologies, and Hutchinson Industries.

Born August 25, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, Gregg lived life at full throttle and was a man of many passions. Tall and athletic, he enjoyed a successful high school and college basketball career. Throughout his amazing life, he developed a love for skiing, golfing, and travel. He developed and maintained powerful friendships that lasted a lifetime, and was a reliable and supportive friend to all those he loved.

Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Gregg at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale, Arizona. Gregg will be laid to eternal rest with full military honors at 1:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, Arizona.

Gregg enjoyed a life of meaning and achievement. We will forever miss our friend and brother. Donations in Gregg's name may be made to the Army Scholarship Foundation or Patriot PAWS.
