Linda Gene Farrington

Linda Gene Farrington, 79, was called home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2021 in Cave Creek, AZ. Under the loving care of her children, Linda bravely fought an illness that took her from us far too soon.
Born in Dallas,TX to Guy Ellsworth and Evelyn Bennington, Linda would later grow up in the Phoenix area and raise four children. She met and married the love of her life and late husband, Arnold J. "Link" Farrington, in the early 70's. Together they lived in Prescott, AZ and successfully owned and managed Prescott Autobody & Paint for over 20 years. Linda was a member of the Soroptimist group in Prescott and served many years in that cause. With a love for sailing, Linda and Link fulfilled a dream to own a sailboat and spent many a weekend living their dream in the San Diego area. They enjoyed travel and had driven through many states across the country in their RV with their beloved German Shepherds Timber, Lehi or Jasper.
After the sudden passing of her husband Link in 2001, She later returned to the Phoenix area and was employed at Mel Clayton Ford for over 16 years in the Accounts Payable Department. She was known for her strong work ethic and loyalty to Mel Clayton. She enjoyed her many years working there and was very proud to work for the well known and successful dealership. She made lifelong friendships there that continued long after her retirement in 2008.
Linda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved the Lord and valued the teachings and support of the many friends she made along the way within the LDS community, especially her ladies lunch group.
Linda loved and took great pride in her family who surrounded her with love, compassion and affection. She valued her friendships throughout her life and will be so deeply missed by all who knew her.
She has been preceeded in death by her sister, Nora Angle Ladue. She leaves behind her brother, Dan Leroy Bennington, her children, Roxanne Frederick (Randy), Tom Gibson (Cindy), Tracy Gibson and Renee' Klos, grandchildren Sarah Carney (Tom Fiel), Jessica Williamson (Wade), Riley Gibson, Erin and Tyler Koch, Bella and Kaden Klos, Jackie Ramsdale and Chris Frederick, great-grandchildren, Carly, Greyson, Wyatt, Sawyer and Luke, Ava, Parks and Nate and her nephew, David Angle.
A celebration of Linda's life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation can be made to Tranquility Trail Animal Sanctuary in Scottsdale, AZ in memory of Linda Farrington
