"Michael went to school with my older sister dawn Beck Snow. I would always tag along to see them at band practice. Years later I loved backed to Lexington and michael and I reconnected as friends, not just Dawn's little sister. I would sit with him for hours and just hold hands and talk about well everything. When my son was in an accident may 18th michael helped me start a gofundmepage to help my son with medical Bill's. He was just a great person and a great friend! I miss our morning talks and all day text. I loved him so much!"

Mr. Michael Shawn Leonard, 57, of Lexington, NC passed away June 28, 2021 at Hospice of Davidson County in Lexington, NC. Mr. Leonard was born September 28, 1963 in Davidson County to the late Donald Jasper Leonard and Melanie Suzanne Rowe Leonard. Michael was a polished musician and lived and worked in Hollywood, CA for many years. Left to cherish his memories are his mother Melanie Rowe Leonard and partner Steve Hall of Lexington, brother, David Leonard (Alyce) of Lexington, numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many fans. Family requests, in lieu of flowers that memorials be made in his name to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
