Patricia Anne Groark Gelinas, age 77, passed away surrounded by her family, in her home on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Born December 23, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Dorothy and Thomas Groark. The eldest of 7, Patricia served lovingly as matriarch for her family as they moved to the family farm in Illinois and eventually to Carmel, California.
In her younger years, Pat enjoyed traveling and new experiences, including working for the government in Washington, D.C. and Chicago where she met her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph. Together they had so many wonderful adventures! She showed her love to friends and family around their dinner table and loved having people in her home. She always made time for a visit and had a way of making each person feel special.
She will be remembered most for her generosity and humble willingness to help anyone in need. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers John and James Groark. She is survived by her loving husband Joe Gelinas, Sons Tim (Tiffany) Gelinas (Illinois), Erik (Janeen) Gelinas (Phoenix),daughter Sara (Wade) Sparks (Denver), and her 10 treasured grandchildren: Hannah & Nolan Gelinas, Emma, Ryan, Jack, Sean & Abby Gelinas, & Karson, Lucy & Sawyer Sparks
