Evelynn Iliff, 61, of Glenwood, IA passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at her home in Glenwood. A Time of Gathering Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Evelyn and her family.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, her children request memorials to the Open Door Mission in her honor.


Evelynn Louise (Dunlap) Iliff, 61 of Glenwood, IA, passed away at her home on June 20, 2021.

Evelynn was born on October 23, 1959 in Aurora, Colorado, one of four children of James Clifford and Helen Louise (Sturgill) Dunlap. She was employed at the Glenwood Resource Center as a Social Worker until her retirement.

Evelynn met James Michael Iliff while they worked at the GRC. The couple was united in marriage on August 14, 1982 in Glenwood. They were blessed with three children, Adam, Stephanie, and Michael.

Evelynn enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and taking care of her lawn. She loved spending time with her grandkids and having them stay overnight. Evelynn attended all their activities. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a good friend to all who knew her.

Evelynn was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband Jim in November 2018.

Evelynn is survived by her children, Adam Iliff (Jill) of Ann Arbor, MI, Stephanie Courtier (Jeff) of Malvern, IA, and Michael Iliff of West Des Moines, IA; five precious grandchildren; brothers, Jim Dunlap (Bonnie) of Rochester, MN, and John Dunlap (Glenda) of Alcester, SD; sister Mary Ann Savery (Don) of Soldier, IA; other relatives and a host of friends.
