Steven Edward Frohman
January 11, 1947 - June 15, 2021
Steven Edward Frohman of Scottsdale, AZ., passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from complications of Parkinson's Disease.
Steven was born on January 11,1947. He is survived by his wife, Susan and his two children, Sean Frohman of Bothell, WA and Stephanie Sawejka of Milwaukee, WI. Steven is predeceased by his parents Richard and Mollie Frohman who were the perfect parents for him. Steven had a bit of a "free range" childhood in Chicago, Ill., and then Chattanooga, TN. He was an only child and his parents allowed him to follow his passions. He loved electronics from an early age and took many things apart to see how they worked. As a child, computers were of great interest to him. He went to the University of Tennessee and studied physics and electrical engineering. During college, he joined the National Guard. After he graduated he was employed by IBM for many years in the large computer sales department in Chattanooga, TN., He worked up to management and was employed by them in White Plains, NY., Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis, MN., and as one of their staff development trainers in Endicott, NY.
For a while after that he built custom homes including one for his family. He went to Williamsburg, VA., and studied the architecture of homes, and then designed his. The woodwork in this home was fabricated by Steven in his workshop. Steven loved projects and when involved in one was completely engrossed and opinionated about how everything should be done. His next career was in Management Consulting and professional speaking about management and leadership. He formed Applied Synergistics Inc, a company dedicated to improving company performance. He loved helping companies, and preparing for presentations. Who Moved My Cheese? was used as a basis for many programs.
He had a dry sense of humor and embraced life. Persistence was a strong quality of his and it generally served him well. He always knew what he wanted and how to get it. He had a gusto for life whether it was flying airplanes, kayaking in Tennessee, hiking, taking photographs or simply sitting by the creek in Sedona, AZ. He was an avid traveler and made his way to every continent. He lived an excellent life.
