In loving memory of

Peter S. Petrosian
June 12, 1952 - June 16, 2021

We are saddened to announce the passing of Peter S Petrosian on June 16, 2021 in Cumming, Georgia.

This year, Peter turned 69 years of age and celebrated his 36th wedding anniversary to his wife, Beth (Balise) Petrosian. Peter was the son of George and Alice (Mooradian) Petrosian who passed before him and raised their family in Western New York towns of Niagara Falls, Olean, and Youngstown.

Family was everything to Peter. Besides his wife, Peter leaves behind his son, Sam Petrosian, his wife Carolyn (Shapiro) and young grandson, William James, daughter Kathryn Walton and husband Zack Walton. He was enormously proud of their accomplishments. In addition, Peter leaves brother Mike Petrosian, his wife Claudia (Adjemian), niece Trisha Petrosian, nephews Michael and Matthew Petrosian and sister-in-law Joan Balise.

He is survived by several cousins and their children.

Peter's life was filled with wonderful memories of celebrating the Armenian culture and enjoyed connecting in a tight-knit Armenian community in New York and around the world.

He began a career in Food Service by studying under Chef Anthony Lentola of the Castle Restaurant in Olean, New York. Petrosian then went on to serve in the US Navy and was proud of his service on the USS Intrepid making life-long friends and feeding hundreds at sea. Post-military, Peter earned a degree in Hospitality from SUNY Alfred.

Peter's entrepreneurial spirit was evident by his work leading teams for the Marriott Corporation, AFC, Brass Tap, and most recently COO for Island Wing Corporation. Creating exciting food service concepts was his passion. Family and friends often had the pleasure of experiencing his culinary talents as he researched and prepared new menus and concepts. Peter mentored and developed hundreds of food service executives. He will be remembered for his big personality, generous heart, and hospitable nature.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 26, 2021 at Ingram Funeral Home.

Donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.

"Peter was a neighbor for many years. We can?t believe he has passed. He was a dear friend and we will miss him so much. I used to love his energy and his optimism. He was always so positive about everything and always found the good in people. Pete was a great cook. I too enjoy cooking but was always scared that I would screw something up if Peter was here. Of course he would find something good to say no matter how bad it might have been. He was a devoted family man and so proud of Sam and Katie as he should have been. They both have been so successful at such an early point in their lives. Pete we will miss you buddy and we will see you on the other side. "

"Peter and I met many years ago at SAGA and remained colleagues and friends since. In everything Pete was involved he brought energy, focus and optimism. I?ll miss his stories of his time with Marriott, Armenian heritage, motorcycle adventures, but most of all his pride in family. He spoke often of Beth, Sam and Katie and we enjoyed sharing stories of our parents. It is difficult to imagine his passing, the world was blessed to have him and is less with him gone. But it is time for him to rest and watch over the legacy of joy he leaves behind. Peter, I am honored that our lives crossed and to have known you. I will miss you, but your memory will never be far from reach. Rest in Peace my friend. Go with God, see you in the next life. "

"I met Peter over 20 years ago. Our paths crossed multiple times working together over the years and our friendship blossomed. We used to meet for breakfast every day to talk about work but we also talked about life and what was important. Peter was proud of his heritage and very much in love with his family. He told me stories about his parents and loved to talk about Beth and Katie and Sam. I can honestly say I have never met a better human being than Peter Petrosian. He had a kind, generous, positive and gregarious personality. He dealt with life?s challenges with a smile on his face. Peter is the kind of person you want as a friend and a neighbor because he was honest, he was real, he was fun and he believed in and stood for all the best aspects of our humanity. I am saddened for all who knew him and loved him. He was taken from us too soon. I will miss our conversations about life. I will miss his positive attitude and cheerful outlook. I will miss him because I have lost a good friend whose presence made the world a better place. God bless you Peter? Chris Elliott "
