Lawrence was the youngest of five children born to Lawrence Joseph Anderson and Alice Marie Anderson. He married his childhood sweetheart, Lauralie Ann Waldon, and they had six daughters - Gennie Marie, Wendy Lynn, Jessica Ann, Victoria Suesanne, Alicia Regina, and Samantha Lindsey. He spent some time in the service before being injured when his parachute didn't open completely during a jump. He spent most of his life in Iowa, and divorced shortly after his youngest daughter was born. He adopted two more daughters, Rebecca Waleena, and LaSheena Naomi. He was a dedicated and hard worker, and taught his girls the value of family, and a job well done. He was a laborer and a tradesman, but what he loved best was working with his dogs. He was a loving father, and gave everything he had to his children. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister Sharon Parker, his brother Blaine "Corky" Anderson and his grand-daughter Josephine. He is survived by his sister Murl Thomas, His sister Jo Folsom, his daughter Gennie and her children Caleb and Tyler, his daughter Wendy and her children Lonnie Jr (and his son Xander), Hayley and Christopher, his daughter Jessica and her children James and Rebecca, his daughter Victoria and her children Kyle, Maria and Dillon, his daughter Alicia and her children Kaden, Kindall and Colton, His daughter Samantha and her son Phoenix, His daughter Rebecca and her children Trevor, Alexis and Violet, and his daughter LaSheena and her daughter Bethany. He will be remembered, and greatly missed. Per his wishes, a private Celebration of life ceremony will be held by his children at a later date

"He was the best dad anyone could ask for, he supported everything we wanted to do. He left us with so many good memories and a firm foundation of what family is and should be and the importance of being there for one another. He will be missed by many and loved by a ton."
