"Your smile lit up the entire room, your hugs were long lasting as if you didn\'t want to let go. There was so much joy in your presence, gentleness in your heart, kindness in everything you did. You left us way too soon."
Branden Charles Monroe, age 26 of Kyle, TX, passed away on June 5th, 2021 in Kyle, TX. Branden was born in Ann Arbor, MI to Wayne and Angela Monroe on March 6, 1995. He attended Lehman High School, in Kyle TX and graduated with honors in 2013. Branden was in the top 5% of his class.
After high school, he decided to take a break from school and worked in hospitality and government roles. He volunteered with FEMA and was pursuing a career with the Military. Branden was proud to be a Texan and proud of his country. His passion for computers drove him to learn multiple computer languages, leading him to write a few of his own video games and system interfaces for projects he worked on with his dad and brother - he was incredibly intelligent. He enjoyed cooking for the family and never missed an opportunity to fire up the back yard smoker. He loved all different styles of music. He taught himself how to play the guitar and the keyboard, then starting writing his own music, songs, rhythms and beats eventually publishing a few of them online. He was so talented and became amazing at whatever he set his mind out to do. Branden loved life, he loved nature, he loved animals and he loved his family and friends. He was kind and incredibly caring, offering the shirt off his back if it could help. He was witty and hilarious, had an immense sense of humor and was all about what practical joke to play next, just like his dad. He was genuine , he was loving. When he hugged you, it was real and you knew he meant to embrace you.
Branden is survived by his mother Angela Monroe, Kyle; brother Taylor Monroe and his fiancé Ashlee Street, (Kyle); grandparents Debbie & Gary Rennie (AZ); Aunt Roberta Rennie (AZ); Aunt/Uncle Nichole & Paul Hesselgrave (CO); cousins Erin & Max Hesselgrave (CO); grandparents Glen & Julie Monroe (TX); uncle Brad Monroe (TX); cousins Scarlet & Hendrix Monroe (TX) uncle/Aunt Roger & Susie Monroe (TX); cousins Haley, Hannah & Eli Monroe, (TX); uncle Brian Quinn (AZ); cousins Michaela & Serenity Quinn (AZ); grandmother Brenda Walker (MI); aunt/uncle Jackie & Derick Engi (MI); great grandmother Ann Hawkins (TN).
