In loving memory of

Carolyn J. Fox
June 11, 1934 - June 8, 2021

Carolyn J. (Worl) Fox, 86, of rural Jonesboro, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Marion General Hospital.

Carolyn was born in Marion, Indiana on June 11, 1934, daughter of the late Vance Worl and the late Lova Irene Thompson West. Carolyn graduated from Fairmount High School in 1952. "She leaves a Little Sparkle Where ever she goes." Carolyn Fox, or as her Cadillac license plate once said, "Foxy Lady", was just that to the love of her life Paul D. Fox. Married on June 20, 1952, they were married for 67 years before he was called home, just 14 months ago. In the beautiful, full life they built together, she was the mother to three girls, grandmother to four, and great grandmother to 10.

She had a passion for many things, but one she will be remembered for most, is her love for fashion. Dave used to love to shop for her. He was always picking out outfits at his favorite local boutiques, often complete with jewelry and shoes to round out the look....and she loved and appreciated every one of them, knowing they were gifted with much thought and affection.

Carolyn was an avid gardener known for her beautiful vegetable garden and mounds of annuals each summer season. She loved to bird watch out her back sun room and wasn't afraid to get dirty tending to her lawn for many years.

Professionally, she was a bookkeeper at TLC management for 12 years and also loved the 18 years she spent at the Marion Chronicle Tribune. Even in recent months, she still spent time connecting with the friends she made in those jobs over the years.

She loved hosting weekly card nights with Dave and their circle of friends every Thursday and cooking up some of her famous appetizers, creating recipes that will live on in our family for years to come.

Most of all, she adored her family endlessly. She enjoyed shopping trips with her daughters and granddaughters, snuggling her newest great grand babies, and watching her older great grandchildren grow and excel in their passions.

She loved to meet new people and share stories about her kids and grandkids with others. She was always beyond proud of her family and tenderly made them feel her love and support, no matter their path.

So, as she's reunited with her favorite guy in Heaven, her family is reminded of just how lucky they were to share 86 years with her in their worlds. Her sparkle and love for life will live on in them forever.

Carolyn is survived by three daughters, Paula (Tim) O'Leary, Ham Lake, MN, Cathy (David) Bettegnies, Marion, and Teri (Charlee McClellan) Fox, Seattle, Washington; four grandchildren, Patrick (Hannah) O'Leary, Dellwood, MN, Allison (Chad) Krill, Fishers, Casey Pyle, Swayzee, and Bridget Lamb, Sweetser; and 10 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Beckham and Brynley Lamb, Dillon Mitchell, Alexis Pyle, Brylee Smith, Mason & Kensington Krill, Daphne and Freddy Oleary; brothers, Keith (Laura) Worl, Indianapolis, David (MaryAnn) Worl, Rochester, NY, and Basil (Sallee) Worl, Bradenton, FL.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Tom Van De Water, and beloved canine miniature pincher "Dobie".
