Karl Robert Bauer

Karl Robert Bauer was born September 7, 1954, in Baumholder, Germany to Sgt. Ellsworth M. Bauer, US Military and Gertrud H. Bauer. Karl graduated from Killeen High School in 1973. He moved from Killeen to Austin, Texas where his brothers and parents resided.
He was a loving son who looked after his mother and visited her every day in the nursing home.
Karl passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Gertrud Bauer, of Austin, and three brothers, Raymond and wife Cheryl of Austin, Gunther Bauer of San Antonio, Texas, and Kurt Bauer of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by a niece, Nicole Cartledge of Hanford, California and nephew Adam Bauer and wife Kristi of Phoenix, Arizona and great nephews Isaac and Ethan Bauer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Tx 78745. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 14, at 10 a.m. from Harrell Funeral Home with internment at Austin Memorial Park.
