Amelia (Amy) Fay Todd was called to her spiritual home May 16, 2021. Amy was born December 2, 1954 in Paris, Texas, and had retired in Arizona where she passed away. She was surrounded by her family when she peacefully made her journey home. Amelia or Amy as most friends knew her was first a child of God. She was very much in love with David for 31 years.
Amy graduated from Stephen F. Austin University Nacogdoches, Texas. She grew up in the small east Texas town of Talco. And kept those small-town values all her life. Amy was loved by all who knew her and had the pleasure of experiencing her Texas charm. Amy loved sports and had an extensive knowledge of most. Anyone that knew her knew not to call on Football Sunday and any night the Mavericks or Rangers played. Growing up Amy competed in many Rodeo events from barrel racing to riding broncs and bulls. She loved softball, fishing, bowling and golf. She always brought her best. She played softball for Stephen F Austin State University and Champlin Petroleum Company. Amy coached both of her sons in Little League baseball as well. Amy was competitive, as all members of her extensive bowling family know. She spent many hours with her bowling friends in both League and Tournaments.
As much as Amy loved her sports, her family always came first. She met her husband David Todd at a New Years Eve party and were married for 30 years. Amy and David had 3 children together, and Amy was most happy when she " had all her little chicks in the same place". Amy gave it her all; whether it was being a wife, a mother, a Grandmother, an Aunt, an employee, a sport participant or a friend. Amy had a wonderful God's given talent to receive and accept each person she met just as they were.
Amy was such a warrior and with God's help and wonderful Dr. Amy overcame being extremely sick with a virus that caused her to get an artificial heart. God's gift to us was we had her over a year. Amy was able to be here for the birth of her Granddaughter, Penelope. Just saying her name would light up Amy's face. We feel very blessed to have the Dr., Nurses especially in the Heart ICU at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
Amy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother. Amy leaves behind husband, David Todd (31 yrs together). Amy was extremely proud of their children and deeply loved each of them: Ross Todd of Portland, Oregon, Ryan Todd, fiancée Sarah Jae, grandchildren Alex and Penelope of Phoenix, Arizona, Kirby Sator & Danielle Deal of Quinlan, Texas; and several family members and friends
There will be a Celebration of Life for Amy at Hansen Mortuary Chapel on June 18th at 10 AM. Family, friends and others whose life Amy touched are invited to celebrate her life and legacy.

"Amy, you were my best friend for so many years. I am so proud to have had you as a friend . The day you left for Oregon was one of the saddest days of my life. I never saw you again, but there was never a day I didn?t think of you and miss you and your family. RIP Amy. I still can?t believe you are actually gone. Fly high, spread your wings and finally rest pain free.

"Amy, we only met a short ten years ago while Bowling. And you instantly became a Big sister I never had to tease, but only at bowling but you always understood I was only telling you what I saw you doing wrong so that you could correct it. As in life my best friends have revolved around sports it may have been Baseball or Bowling as a youth but you took to me like we were family for that I'll be ever Thankful. Love you and miss you a ton Amelia AMY Todd .. and while you're up there make sure to let GOD know to keep the bowling Alley's open for when its our turn."

"Amy, Missing your shining spirit a ton...and your trademark "GIRL!!! YA KNOW ...."-isms that used to bring a quick smile and frequently a good belly laugh at some of the craziness that we would see:) I know you are one of my tribe in Heaven gracing me with the strength, humor, and kindness in some very stressful situations. Thank you, hon! Missing you so much! --Jenn"
