In loving memory of

Shanda J. Hahn Kinkade
May 8, 1974 - June 3, 2021

Shanda Jane Hahn Kinkade, mostly known as "Shanda Panda", daughter of James "Jim" Hahn and Cindy McCaw Higbee, born on May 8, 1974 in Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away on June 3, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Shanda graduated form Peru State College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She lived all over western Nebraska before returning home to Omaha. In 2007 she helped organize a group where she was a leader, teacher and ordained minister; providing friendship and spiritual guidance for many individuals. In 2013 she became involved in Pagan Pride and organized the first Pagan Pride for the Kearney Nebraska area. She remained a key person for the yearly pride event until she moved back to Omaha. She was a lover of all animals, especially pandas (hence her nickname), enjoying visits to the zoo and loved anything to do with nature. Shanda loved a good tailgate and was always down for a dance party, minimum of 30 seconds, no matter what her mood. Her outlook and love of life is admired and will be missed deeply.

Shanda is preceded in death by her daughter, Kyah Kinkade; uncle, Jim McCaw; paternal grandparents, James W. and Florianne Hahn; and maternal grandparents, Hank and Jane McCaw.

She is survived and will be missed by her mother, Cindy McCaw (Don) Higbee; father, Jim (Teresa) Hahn; son, Zayne Kinkade; brother, Trevor (Tina) Hahn; sister, Kaitlin Hahn; stepbrother, Gary (Jennifer) Higbee; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends.

A celebration of life service, which she has requested everyone wear either purple or turquoise to, will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 P.M. on July 17, 2021 at The Fireside Banquet Room, 841 Tara Plaza, Papillion, NE 68046, with a prayer at 2:00 P.M.

In honor of Shanda, memorials are suggested to The American Cancer Society (link below) or your local animal shelter.
