"Denny Heerdt was my great-uncle. He was kind, generous and very Independant. He enjoyed life and was very involved it many social activities. I have many years of fond memories of coming to his house on Christmas Eve and celebrating with Colorado family. We would have chili and oyster stew. We would open presents and watch the news to see true Santa tracker. I was blessed with the opportunity to see him just about every day this past year as he was recovering and living at the Algona Manor. I am the assistant activity director. I was able to spend time with him. Talking about the memories I had of growing up and coming to his house. I talked about my mom his niece and all the family. I tried my best to keep those memories alive in him. Alissa Trulson, Great-Niece"
