Heather passed away at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE, on Friday, May 28, 2021. She was born in West Bend, Wisconsin, on July 29, 1987, to Rick and Tina Stambaugh. After moving to California, she graduated from Santa Ynez High School in 2005. In the fall of that year, she enrolled at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln to pursue a degree in Psychology, which she received in December 2009.
During her freshman year at UNL, she met and fell in love with Tony Jensen at the Sandoz dorms. They were married on June 25, 2010, and have been inseparable ever since.
After graduating from UNL, Heather and Tony moved to Santa Barbara, California. Heather worked as the Director of Client Relations and Training for The FIONDA Group Companies.
In 2012, Heather and Tony moved to Nebraska. After relocating, she enjoyed a successful business career with marquee companies, including Yahoo!.
Her passion for education, knowledge, and serving others led to her beloved profession, teaching. She graduated from the College of Saint Mary with a Masters in English/Language Arts Education in December of 2017. Upon graduation, she taught 6th and 8th grade English Language Arts at Morton Magnet Middle School in the Omaha Public School District.
Heather's love of life, her bright light and smile, will be sorely missed by everyone who was blessed to know her. Heather is survived by her husband: Tony Jensen, brother; Ryan Stambaugh; parents: Rick and Tina Stambaugh; sister in law: Ida Jensen (Oliver Langmo); niece: Frances Langmo, parents in law: Anton and Robin Jensen; grandmother: Nancy Davis, aunts, uncles and her furbaby Opie. Preceded in death by grandparents Gussie and Harry Faust, grandfather: David Davis. Visitation 5-7PM Tues., June 1 at Forest Lawn with Celebration of Life Service 10AM, Wed., June 2 at Forest Lawn.
