In loving memory of

Elliott Wayne Raspberry, Jr.
February 8, 1970 - May 15, 2021

Elliott Wayne Raspberry Jr. was born in San Diego, California on February 8th, 1970 to the parents of Elliott W. Raspberry Sr. and Francies Y. Jefferson (Bascus).

He attended Webster Elementary, Gompers Secondary School, and Grossmont College where he took an interest in Engineering and Graphic Design.

As a youth he was always with his cousins, and friends from the neighborhood. He liked cartoons, model cars, drawing and playing with army men. When he became a teenager, he always had his little brother Ronnie (Double R) in tow hanging out with him and his friends as a ploy to pick up girls.

In 2003, Elliott welcomed his first, and only child Asiann'e Flood and later his step son Cameron Qualls came into his life.

He worked odd jobs as a Roofer in construction, Interviewer at Heakin Research, and Inventory Scanner at WIS International.

Elliott loved cooking, and wanted EVERYTHING well done (and with extra salt), coordinating his clothes from head to toe, taking long showers (like a girl), a sports fanatic, listening to music, watching movies, shopping, and playing video games. You always knew when he was present by his loud voice, the smoke in the air (or on him), and his goofy laugh. Those who really knew him occasionally would hear him upset and cursing on the phone. But just as fast as he cussed you out, he would turn around and say I'm sorry and you knew he meant it.

Family and friends were most important to him. He was loving, kind, loyal, and the greatest protector. If there was a need, he was there. He wanted the best, and loved to see his loved ones succeed. Although everyone individually held special places in his heart; he had his share of favorites including his youngest niece Jaiya and god son Yaseen, who always got him at his best.

He lived a carefree life, and was known by everybody in San Diego either by growing up together, school, the street life, or crossed paths in some form. If you needed him it wasn't hard to find him hanging out at Parr Liquor or Waffle Burger.

Elliott decided to relocate his life to Columbus, Ohio in late 2018. He enjoyed being somewhere new and was finally coming into his own. He began converting his life and religion; he took on the new name of Saladeen Ayub.

On May 15th, 2021 he was called home to rest with Allah.

Elliott leaves behind daughter Asiann'a Flood; stepson Cameron Qualls; godson Yaseen Hamdi; dad Elliott Raspberry(Pat); mother Francies Jefferson-Bascus; godfather Benny Williams; grandmother Magnolia Merola; brothers Eugene Howard; Ronald (Double R) Bascus II; sisters Joani Raspberry (LeaShon); Judy Raspberry; Camille Bascus; Natasha Cook (Tim) and Kayla Gordon (Kyle); nephews Frederick Webb II; Kyle Baham; Kortez Howard; Emmanuel Raspberry and Kenneth Raspberry Jr.; nieces Patrina Merola; Lo'Ren Howard; Briauna Banks; Jazzmyn Robinson; Jaiya (Yaya) George; Caleshia Blockmon; Calvinque Chaffold; Keiara Raspberry; Aunts Joan Sullivan; and Maudria Jefferson; uncle Joseph Carroll (Mann) Jefferson Jr.; OG brothers Christopher Woffold; Edward Dunn; Gary Wyatt; Mohammed Abukar; Saheed Hamdi; Tyrone Johnson; Winburn Butler and a host of dearly loved cousins, family, and friends.
