Canton - Lois O. Shockency, 91, of Canton, passed away, Monday, May 24, 2021, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
She was born on April 28, 1930, in Lostant Illinois, to Marian and Effie (Johnston) Osborn. They preceded her in death along with five brothers, Raymond, Howard, Lloyd, Charles and Leland Osborn and one sister, Bernadine Osborn.
Surviving are four children, Valerie Lynn (Pete) Santistevan of Lodi, CA, Steve R. Shockency Jr. of Lewistown, Timothy M. Shockency, of Canton, and Shelly (Donald) Entrekin of Canton, whom she made her home with for the past 15 years. One sister Verna Travis of Wisconsin, seven grandchildren, Mindy Miller, Steve P. (Jennifer) Shockency, Stan L. (Janene) Shockency, Cassie (Jordan) Sanders, Christopher (Katie) Cheetham, Jessica (Justin) Sprecher, and Royce McFarland, five step grandchildren, Craig Entrekin, Lucretia Entrekin, Jason (Christy) Santistevan, Angie Klekar, and Jessie (Jennifer) Santistevan nineteen great grandchildren, August (Ashley) Miller, EmiLea Miller, Jonathen Miller, SkyLea and Brock Shockency, Alyssa and Jayden Shockency, Brooklynn Shockency, Ryleigh Sanders, Caeden, Colin, Cameron, Sadie, Molly and a baby on the way Cheetham, Cooper and Paysyn Sprecher, and Ethan, Andrew and Timmy McFarland, nine Step great Grandchildren, Madison (Duane) Kiesling, Colton Buck, Colton Sprecher, Jason, Jacob and Abby Santistevan, Brianna and Braedon Klekar and Sophie Santistevan, one step great great grandchild, Rebecca Kiesling and many nieces and nephews.
Lois graduated from Canton High School. She worked as a private duty caregiver, touching many lives with her caring nature. Over the years she enjoyed dancing, bingo and playing cards with her friends. Most of all Lois loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at Brunswick Cemetery.
