Marty never met a stranger and always lit up the room with his bold presence. He was kind to all and gave the biggest, warmest hugs. His easy-going spirit, infectious "crooked" smile, witty humor that would create endless laughter could make anyone's day. Marty was an avid fisherman and hunter. He made the best barbeque brisket and competed in cookoffs. He loved having family and friends for crawfish boils. Marty was known and loved by many and will be sincerely missed.

"The world was a better place with Marty here. He\'ll be forever missed and I look forward to seeing him again. Frank Willoughby"
"I was shocked and saddened to hear about Marty\'s unexpected passing on a Sunday morning as I reviewed email messages. I saw a message from mine and Marty\'s former manager, Steve Somers. He said in a short sentence that Marty had passed. Words cannot express how much Marty will be missed on this earth. Marty and I started at US Security at the same time and he was like a big brother and great friend to me during our time with working together. He was always there when I needed support or encouragement. He helped me through some difficult moments that will forever change the course of my life for the better. But this was who Marty was a person. He didn\'t have a mean bone in his body and was authentic and genuine in wanting to see people around him succeed in life. I wish we hadn\'t lost touch in the last couple of years and that we didn\'t connect one more time so I could hear his laugh and say, \"what\'s up Gump\"! I will miss him! Rest easy Marty! We will have some more laughs together one day."
"Liz, words can not express how sorry we are for your loss. Marty was like a son to Bill and a brother to me. He was bigger than life! We loved having him come spend the night while in town on business. The 3 of us were all Pennsylvanians which gave us a tighter bond. RIP Marty!! You will be so missed!! "
"We are so saddened by the unexpected passing of this truly wonderful man. Marty and Liz were the first neighbors we met after moving into our new house in Belterra, and they were always there to lend us a helping hand. We just can?t say enough good things about this lovely family! Marty?s warm and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on those that he met, and he will be sincerely missed by everyone. The world won?t be the same without your kind soul, Marty - please Rest In Peace, my friend."
"Truly heartfelt loss of a great friend, mentor and catalyst for a change in my life. At a time when my path was not clear, God intervened and placed Marty front and center and lead me to a new chapter. Marty took me under his wing, provided leadership and insights while supporting me like a big brother not a boss. The entire crew that molded a green newbie in the security market was connected by Marty, the nucleus. He was a dynamic personality that will be forever missed. "
"It has been years since high school, but Marty left memories that still make me laugh today. For those in scouts, Marty will be part of stories involving a nerf ball and a National Monument. You will be missed, but I know you brightened the lives of those you met. My condolences to his family and friends. "
