Imogene R. Meade age 97 of Washington passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Prairie Village Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Imogene was born September 26, 1923 in Montgomery to Jerome and Alma (Bullock) McGuire. She graduated from Montgomery High School and St. Vincent Nursing School in Indianapolis in 1941. She was a RN at Daviess Community Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
Imogene is survived by two sons Stephen (Judy) Meade and Jeffrey Meade both of Washington; three grandchildren Jerome Meade, Jerit Meade and Janel Atkinson; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Meade who passed away December 1994; her parents; son Mark Meade and brother Joseph McGuire.
A funeral was held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel with Father Paul Ferguson and Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial followed at Sugarland Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Jarit Meade, Blake Meade, Jerome Meade, Dakota Meade, Aaron Atkinson and Hunter Gladish.
