Norman Christensen, 90, of Henderson, IA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson, IA with Rev. Terry McClain officiating. Burial will be at the Farm Creek Cemetery, east of Henderson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service begining at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson is caring for Norman and his family.

Norman Christensen, 90, of Henderson, IA passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
Norman Christensen, son of Carl and Anna (Christensen) Christensen, was born on August 9, 1930 in Macedonia, IA. He graduated from Macedonia Schools. He then enlisted and served in the United States Air Force.
Norman and Mary Vogltanz met on a blind date through a friend of Mary's. They were united in marriage on September 1, 1953 in Papillion, NE before moving to Hastings, IA. In 1956, they moved to live in Henderson, IA. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Carl Steven and Mark Alan.
Norman enjoyed tinkering around with farm machinery, repairing and refinishing. He fixed a lot of things for the people in the area. He enjoyed going to tractor shows and swap meets.
Norman is preceded in death by his wife, Mary and son, Mark.
Norman is survived by his son, Carl Christensen; and many close friends.
