Linae Elieff
October 25, 1960 - May 5, 2021
On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, Linae Yvonne Elieff of Des Moines passed into eternity surrounded by family. She was 60.
Linae was born on October 25, 1960, in Hennepin County, Minnesota to Robert and Beverly (Erickson) Reichel. She raised three children: Daniel, Josette, and Brent.
Linae loved gardening, decorating, and all things involving frogs. Throughout her life, she rescued countless animals--from lost cats and dogs to turkeys and turtles. She was known for her kind banter, magnetic personality, contagious laughter, and strong (often stubborn) spirit.
She had an uncanny ability to find joy and humor in any situation. Her radiant and compassionate personality infected everyone she met.
Linae is preceded in death by her father, Bob, and her mother, Beverly. She is survived by her three children, Danny Elieff, Josette (Anthony) Mansmith, Brent Elieff; siblings Marcia (Bill) Lamphere, Jim (Tammela) Reichel, and Becky Reichel; loving companion, Rick Giles; and chihuahua, Sasha.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Ralph Whitten Shelter at Lions Park in Urbandale, Iowa.
