In loving memory of

Xavier Wayne Harper
December 1, 1994 - May 2, 2021

On Sunday, May 2, 2021, Xavier Wayne Harper, age 26 of Maxwell, Texas died in a tragic accident. He was born in Austin, Texas on December 1, 1994 to Robert Harper and Sandra Chase.

He was the second youngest in a family of six children, two girls and four boys. Many family members assisted with their upbringing, but Xavier was especially close to his Great Aunt Winnie.

The family moved to the Kyle area and while in high school, he met Mallory Garcia. They graduated Hays High School together in 2013 and Wayne, as Mallory called him, went to work as an apprentice electrician working for her father's electrical contracting company. He progressed to a skilled electrician through the years. Along with being a dedicated father to his daughters and a loving husband, he was an avid angler, loving to go fishing in the many lakes in the area; as well as playing a mean game of pool.

Left to mourn his tragic loss and keep his memory alive are his wife Mallory, his daughters Sophie Belle, Journey Ann and soon to be born son, Xavier Michael Harper. His mother Sandra Chase, his father Robert Harper and step-mother, Melissa Harper. Also, left behind are his siblings Sharontae Chase, Ashley Harper, Robert Harper, Jr., Terrance Brown, Jaylen Burns, Jonathan Lugo and Chelsea Lugo; along with Mallory's parents, John and Georgia Garcia, and his sister-in-law Melody Duran.

A Gathering of family and friends will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Harrell Funeral Home - Kyle with Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, TX.
