"Jay & I knew Betty Jo at BellSouth. She was a dear friend. Jay worked with and thought a lot of her and friend Sally. Jay touched the face of Jesus March 30, 2021, so he was there to welcome Betty Jo. Blessings to Sally, our friend also. Brenda & Jay King"

"Having played many rounds of golf with Betty Jo I can attest to her fierce competitiveness. The desire did not diminish with horse shoes, board games, card games, or dominoes. Her "let's put a little wager on this to make sure everyone is giving their best" always meant I donated. I was fortunate to travel with Jo over the years and cherish the memories. Betty Jo succeeded in all endeavors she pursed because failure was not an option. Her zest for life contagious, her wit evident till the end. Her gardening skills and green thumb with anything she planted were amazing. Her love of nature lead me to the same. One day we will play 27 holes in that golf course in the clouds."

"I was very fortunate to have had three aunts in my life, all of whom were special in their own way. Betty Jo, however, was the most outdoorsy of them all, a trait that she frequently shared with my family. She invited us on fishing trips, and to spend time with her up at the lake. She took me on my first water skiing experience and later helped teach my son to ski. She hosted great family reunions complete with many competitive games, of course. She ?tried? to teach me how to play tennis, but as we all know, patience was not her best subject! Despite my inability to play tennis, she frequently took me with her to Bitsy Grant tennis center where she would buy me a Coke while I sat in the stands and watched her play. If you never had the opportunity to see her in action, she really was poetry in motion. I will always remember her wit, her love of nature and all the fun things I did with her during my childhood. She always encouraged me to be myself and was always supportive of the choices I made. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. "

"Betty Jo has been a loving, guiding influence in my life for all of my life. She had a tremendous work ethic, and whatever she did she did well. She was always available to talk or give advice, often across the table in a game of Dominos. There are few people in this world that you can completely count on to always be there for you - she was that for me. She was a classy lady, with a swagger to her walk, and a smile on her face. So many cherished memories. She was my aunt, and she was my friend. I am so blessed to have had her in my life."

" Betty Jo loved life. She was happy as long she was outside doing something. I have many happy memories of us golfing, boating, skiing, and swimming in the ocean. She taught me to float in the ocean. We had many fun days on the beach. She enjoyed seeing the world and I am proud to call her my Aunt Betty Jo."
