Shortly after moving to Phoenix, Margaret began working for Thrifty Drug in Retail Sales, inventory, and office management. Over a nine-year period, the couple welcomed four children into their home and Margaret set about teaching them empathy, humility, respect, and loyalty. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, and driven mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams.
Margaret loved cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, crocheting, gardening, and reading prior to losing her vision. After the passing of her husband, she continued the focus on providing the best life and opportunities for her children.
