The family of Anna Maria Davila of Austin, Texas, is saddened to announce her unexpected passing.
She is survived and will forever live in our hearts and memories by her husband, Candelario Antonio Alejandro Diaz, and their two beautiful children, Ethan James Alejandro Davila and Keren Marie Alejandro Davila. Her siblings; Carlos, Amy, Henry, Raymond (Sara), Bertha (Adrian), Fernando (Deliah), Christopher, Jose (Elizabeth), Paris (John), Sally (Juan), Ricardo, Alma, Ramon, Maria. Her best friends, Brina, Poyo, Melissa, Tino, Josh, Isaac, Bobbies, Ana, Pari, and many other cousins dear to her heart, numerous nieces & nephews, and countless family and friends.
Anna's beautiful, crazy soul was born on June 15, 1990. She could light up a room with her smile and illuminate the world with her heart.
She was family-oriented and would pick a night in with her kids over anything. Her proudest name was being called Mom. Together, her family enjoyed many movie nights, lake adventures, days out at the park, cookouts, and baking their birthday cakes. She loved cooking and baking so much that she was known as the Davila family's chef and baker. She enjoyed expressing herself by designing cakes and pouring her love into a delicious meal.
Oh, but she liked to be pampered! She had a passion for makeup, fashion, hair, nails, and shopping. She formed a bond with her sister Paris who became her personal hairstylist since she was up for modeling any new trendy cut or color her sister suggested. Her niece Jazymn, who has a talent for nail art, quickly became her favorite nail tech. Once her hair and nails were all done, you would catch her out shopping and not just for herself or her kids. She loved spoiling her nieces; Abigail, Danicah, Calli, and Jazmyn as well as her great-nieces; Evelynn and Julliana, any reason to shop. She also enjoyed her time with her nephews; Joe, Blue Jay, Ray Ray, Brandon, Alex, Raymond III, Fernando Jr, and Tyson.
Her heart was big, courageous, and held a lot of love. The kind-hearted spirit of hers wouldn't allow her to have a favorite color; she loved them all. If she absolutely had to decide, she would go for any pastel shade because she thought they were peaceful and soft. She loved colors so much she tested her artistic skills and began painting. The most vivid are her lip and elephant paintings.
She also loved to sing and dance. She listened to all music genres. To keep her mother's memory strong, you would catch her singing her mom's favorite song, "Tennessee Whiskey." We all admired her singing skills and enjoyed listening to her sing at the top of her lungs, every word to her favorite song "Figures by Jessie Reyez" then quickly switch to "Mariposa de Barrio or La Chacalosa by Jenni Rivera." Anna, too, was a beautiful mariposa so whenever you see a butterfly nearby, know that's her way of letting you know she will always be by your side. She honestly had a heart of gold, and without hesitation, she would be there for you when you needed her. She kept her house freezing cold, and she would ask you to cuddle with her to stay warm.
One thing is for sure; she was never on time for anything! Since she took forever to get ready, Anna always ended up being the last to show up to whatever she was invited to, even if she had to bring food. If you called her to find out her whereabouts and she told you, "I just have to do my hair, boo," you could expect her to be another two hours because that meant she was starting to get dressed. She was so glamorous and fashion-driven that it didn't matter how late she was. You would hear her coming, with that loud contagious laugh of hers and a huge smile across her face, when she walked into any room, she made a statement with The Gran Señora entrance!
Anna was united in death by her parents; Ramon and Connie Davila, Grandparents; Margarito and Consuelo Patina, Uncle Pete, Cousins; Thonez Patina, Nico Bazan, Moses Patina, and many other loved ones.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00AM at Harrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for contributions, love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. She will be missed dearly and forever and always in our hearts.
