"Don was a very good friend that I have known since a young age in school. Don always had a smile and a hello for you anytime you saw him. I had many meals with Don over the years and felt honored when I got to eat at Don\'s table at Oak Creek Cafe. Don\'s table only seated 4 people,but I have seen as many as 8 people gathered around the table at one time. There have been several people that have passed away before Don that ate at his table. I bet there is a chair waiting at the Lord\'s table for Donnie and his friends. I know there will be a lot of laughing and joking when Don gets there. I hope to see Don again and be fortunate enough to set with him at his table and tell some of the old stories that we all laughed and enjoyed through the years. May you rest in peace until we meet again."

Don was born in Temple, Texas to Mary and L.E. DuPuy, Jr. Don was one of 3 children, two boys and one daughter.
Don graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 1964, joined the Navy in 1966 and served 4 years. Upon leaving the Navy he came back to Lakeway and joined his father and brother in the home building business. Don built his home and returned to Dripping Springs in 1980; this was his home until the time of his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dripping Springs and loved to sing hymns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and younger sister Sheri Jo Murray. He leaves behind his loving brother Larry, Sandra, and many friends and family.
