Pauline R. Allen
April 23, 1923 - April 25, 2021

Pauline R. Allen, age 98, of Quincy, formerly of Payson, Illinois, died Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 6:20 pm in St. Vincent's Home.

Pauline was born April 23, 1923 in Payson Township, Illinois, the daughter of Charlie Corneilus and Mabel Maltida Schaffer Deorle. She married Clarence Lease, Jr. on August 17, 1941 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1950. She later married John "Fred" Allen on December 29, 1954 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2002.

She graduated high school from Abingdon High School in Abingdon, Illinois. Pauline worked as a beautician in her own home for 45 years. She also worked at a home health aide for 14 years.

Pauline was a member of the Lutheran Church of St. John, and was a member of the Ladies Aide, formerly with Mary Martha Guild.

Pauline is survived by her children, Donna Koontz, of Quincy, John (Cheryl) Allen, of Pittsburgh, PA, Jill Nezda, of Garden Grove, CA, Suzann Manker, of Quincy, Kevin (Michelle) Allen, of Bonney Lake, WA, and Douglas (Carol) Allen, of Quincy; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to both of her husbands, Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Gregory Clarence Lease, two step-sisters, Martha Lease and Alice Schaberg, and a son-in-law, Dale Koontz.

Services: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Lutheran Church of St. John, with Rev. Steve Hayden officiating.

Burial: Payson New Cemetery, Payson, Illinois

Visitation: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Lutheran Church of St. John.
