Tributes

Fred E. Ellis wrote on May 12, 2021:

"John (Johnny) was possibly the most gifted running back to attend Kearny High. His Senior year he was one of the if not the fastest running backs in the Nation receiving offers from Oklahoma and Texas Universities. After I left the area to go to school I lost contact with him but He was always a very good friend, we lived in the same Daniel Ct. in military housing for seven or so years. His brother Donald was my classmate who was another Awesome that gone too soon. Love to the family it was honor being a friend I pray God?s rich blessings over all of you. Fred (Freddy) Ellis"
