Carol Woods
October 7, 1957 - April 24, 2021

A funeral Mass for Carol Woods will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 30, 2021, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. The service will be live streamed on the Five Saints Catholic Community YouTube page. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl71pZ4veXU Masks will be required at the Funeral Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Algona.

Carol Denise (Davis) Woods was born October 7, 1957, the daughter of Jerry and Mary E. (Wagner) Davis. She grew up in Algona graduating from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1976. After graduating she went on to NIACC to get her Secretarial Degree.

On November 11, 1977 she was united in marriage to Tony Woods at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. She worked for AMU for 27 years, the Lumberyard for 13 years, and most recently worked as Revenue Auditor at the Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg. Carol enjoyed golfing, theater, sewing, dogs, singing, and going to Iowa Hawkeyes Football games. She also enjoyed volunteering and helping at St. Cecelia Catholic Church. Carol was very proud of her family and loved spending time with her grandkids and granddogs.

Carol died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at UnityPoint Health, Allen Hospital in Waterloo. She was 63.

She is survived by her husband, Tony of Algona; daughters, Mandy (Chris) Roundy of Waterloo, and Cindy (fiancé Dave Williams) Woods of North Liberty; grandchildren, Mikayla, Paige and Cameron Roundy; father, Jerry Davis of Center Point; aunt, Katherine Aman; brothers-in-law, Mike Woods, Pat Woods, and Dennis (Chris) Woods; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Dan) McConville; cousins, Betty Danford, and Barb Grandstaff, and many other cousins.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Mary E. Davis, and in-laws, Wally and Joyce Woods.
