Peter L. Sherman Jr. 64, died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his Fairmount residence.

Peter was born at Bowling Air Force Base in Washington DC on May 25, 1956, son of Peter L. Sherman Sr. and Patricia (Fuller) Roberts. Peter graduated from high school in Pittsburg, California and proudly served his country in the Marine Corp. Peter loved anything Star Trek, Western Movies, old television shows, and classic country music.

Peter is survived by his mother, Patricia Roberts, Fowlerton; siblings, Philip (Michelle) Sherman, Converse, Paul (Barbara) Sherman, Ocean Shores, WA, Patrick (Jan) Sherman, San Angelo, TX, Debra (Dave) Meek, Valparaiso, FL, Laurie (Dave) Werner, Fowlerton, Andrew (Leslie) Roberts and Deborah Minch, both of Scotland; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Peter was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Selvey and his father, Jim Roberts.

Services for Peter will be held at the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Father Ted Rothrock officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans for transportation services in care of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home.
