Joan M. Petersen
July 31, 1952 - April 20, 2021

Joan was born on July 31, 1952 in Denison, Iowa the daughter of Rowland and Luverne (Fitzpatrick) Petersen. She enjoyed working at the McDonald's Restaurant, Clinton. She loved traveling, watching movies, listening to 60's music, and her animals, especially her cats and bird, "Tweety". She especially enjoyed living with her housemates through Skyline Center.

Joan M. Petersen age 68 of Clinton, Iowa passed away Tuesday April 20, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Lorraine, and three step-sisters.

Joan is survived by her two sisters, Luwana (Roy) Hansen of Oakdale, NY and Janelle (Russell) Horton of Thermopolis, WY; a step-sister, Eileen Spehr of San Antonio, TX; a step-brother, Alan Lueders of Clinton, IA; two step brothers-in-law, Jim Young of Clinton, IA and Leo Roling of Bryant, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 3:00-5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 28. 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison. Interment is in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Denison. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Also, a visitation will take place from 3:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton, Iowa.
