In loving memory of

Salvador Arvizu
September 25, 1932 - April 20, 2021

Salvador Arvizu of Austin, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2021. He was born on Rancho de la Jalapa, near San Luis de la Paz, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico to Romulo Arvizu and Teresa Duran Arvizu. He grew up on the Rancho and was a skilled Charro.
Horses were the focus of his early years, becoming an accomplished trainer of horses, even training them to perform tricks, such as dancing. While on the Rancho, he met the love of his life, Teresa Becerra. They were married in 1951, celebrating 70 years of marriage. From that union, 9 wonderful children were born.
As parents will often follow their children to be close to them and their grandchildren, so did Salvador and Teresa, moving to Texas in 1988. Settling in the Austin area, he worked for a private sanitation company in Westlake Hills before retiring. After retirement, he continued his passion for horses in the Hays County area of Central Texas. He loved family BBQ's' and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
