Ruby Mae Spencer, 76, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 28th, in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn Roberts, officiating. A visitation will be on 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Survivors include son Steve Spencer of Fort Dodge, daughter Sandra Spencer of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Keelan (Stephanie) Spencer, Mahleeyah Bandoo, Marissa (Tanner) Spencer, Dameohna (Robert) Bandoo, Christopher Wilson, Ameesha Artis, Nicholas Brockman, Maranda Spencer, Leela Spencer, and Jordan Spencer, 15 great grandchildren, siblings Minnie Mae Lanier of MS and Beatrice Seals of AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Buela (Fisher) Seals, daughter Cheryl Spencer, son David Spencer, grandson Jonathan David Spencer, granddaughter Seconda Spencer, siblings Annabell Dillard, Artis Fisher, Cristene Newsome, Ray Henry Fisher, Maple Lee Seals, and Johnny B. Seals.
Ruby Mae Seals was born on December 14, 1944 in Mississippi. She was raised and educated in Alabama where she graduated from high school. She later moved to Cleveland, OH, then a few years in Waukegan, IL, and later Fort Dodge. Ruby worked at the Fort Dodge Labs for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratch tickets and the ticket slot machines. Ruby will be forever missed by her family and friends.
