Roger Goodwin
October 4, 1944 - April 19, 2021

Roger Goodwin , age 76, of Quincy, died Monday, April 19, 2021, at 9:46 am in Blessing Hospital.

Roger was born October 4, 1944 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Ernest and Clara Crabby Goodwin.

Roger was a 1962 graduate of Quincy High School. He lived in Champaign, IL, for a number of years before returning to Quincy. He worked many years for Niemann Foods. He started at 16 years old as a stock boy and worked his way up into an Executive management position. He was a very hard worker and had an amazing work ethic; something he expected from those around him as well.

Roger was an avid college sports fan. The Fighting Illini, Mizzou, and the Big 10 were among his favorites. He loved being on the water; boating, water skiing, etc., and anything that had to do with it. Roger was very competitive and loved playing games, especially cards. He loved betting when he played. He was also a lover of golf. Roger had a larger than life personality and was always the life of the party. He would often tease his friends and family in a playful, light-hearted way. He was the best father, grandpa, and uncle you could ask for. Roger will be remembered for many things, most of all is that he made everything fun, he always made you smile.

"I will miss Roger a great deal. Many fun conversations we shared over the years. Roger began his mortgage broker career at the same time that I began my real estate career. We both learned a great deal together about those industries. I found a true friend in Roger and will think of him often. I pray for God's peace for all who loved him. My Deepest Sympathy, Tammy Kruser-Miller"

Helped me many times through the years and I witnessed him helping others with their growth, their work ethic and his business acumen.
