Carol Douglas
November 10, 1939 - April 13, 2021

Carol Douglas, 81, formerly of Bethany died Tuesday evening, April 13, 2021 at Lake Winona Manor. Carol was born November 10, 1939 in Osseo, WI to Arthur and Myrtle (Hanson) Riphenburg. She and Dale Douglas were married April 9, 1960. They first made their home in Osseo, later moving to Whitehall and Fountain City. Eventually they moved to Bethany and Wyattville. Carol entered Watkins Home before making her home at Lake Winona Manor.
Carol and Dale raised six children. She began working at Altura Turkey Plant once her children were in school. Carol went on to work as a nurse's aid in local nursing homes for many years. She enjoyed traveling, making birthday cakes and baby's blankets for her grandchildren. Raising a large family caused her to take an interest in sewing and gardening, as well as canning. She treasured her dog, Tipper.
Survivors include her six children; Bev (Tom) Ammann of Winona, Jeff Douglas of Oronoco, Sandy (Bob) Stevens of Rochester, Mike Douglas, Dale (Joanna) Douglas of Bethany and Dan Douglas of Winona, grandchildren; Aimee, Amber, Jenna, Sarah, Ryan, Lucas, Danielle, Margret, Nick, Lydia, Ashley, Carla, Matt, Christina, Zak, Alivia and Rylee, great-grandchildren; Tylor, Connor, Kaylee, Raelynn, Kinley, Clara, Reagan, Hunter, Fletcher, Ida, Bentley, Jameson, Loghan, Addy, Brevon, Jackson, Emma and Tucker and her two siblings; Harold (Sue) Riphenburg and Ken Riphenburg of Osseo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale in 2000, a sister Alice Ida, a granddaughter Isabella Douglas and a grandson, Spencer Douglas.
Services to remember Carol's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Hoff Funeral Service in Lewiston, led by funeral celebrant Dianne Rislow. A visitation will be from 9 - 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
