Charlotte C. Carpenter, 72 of Fairmount, died Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis.
Charlotte was born on October 13, 1948 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, daughter of the late Willard and Barbara (LaMay) Smith. She graduated from Monroeville High School in 1967. She married Leslie F. Carpenter on January 24, 1979. Charlotte was a homemaker and loved spending time and taking care of her family. She enjoyed knitting, Western Movies and was an avid Colts fan.
The family wishes to thank Ascension St. Vincent Hospital for their compassionate care to Charlotte and her family.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Leslie: children, Christina Carpenter, Vanessa Carpenter, Angelina Carpenter, and Joseph Carpenter, all of Fairmount;
siblings, Gregory (Joyce) Smith, Decatur, Douglas (Susan) Smith, Ft. Wayne, and Terry (Rochelle) Smith, New Haven; eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Krista, Joshua, Jason, Jamie, Kennedy, Lila, and Viktor; 3 great-grandchildren, Kyra, Kaelyn, and Ephrom.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her brother, Finley Smith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be on Wednesday, April, 14, 2021 from 10-11 AM with funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Ted Payne officiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
