"I worked with Sue. She was honestly one of the sweetest person. A treasure in this world. Condolences to her family."
Sue Ellen Lamm (formerly Bowden) passed away on March 30, 2021 in Buda, TX at age 64 following a long illness.
Sue was born in Odessa, TX on January 1, 1957 to Bobby and Charlene Bowden. During her youth she lived in various west Texas and New Mexico locations, graduating from Highland High School in Albuquerque, NM and attending New Mexico State University.
During her adult life Sue lived in many varied locations, including El Paso, TX, Germany, Nashua, NH and Round Rock, TX before settling in Buda, TX. Sue worked as a retail associate and manager for over 25 years, mostly for Toys 'R' Us locations in Nashua and Austin, and Cabela's in Buda.
An avid nature lover, Sue enjoyed hiking and camping (particularly in the mountains of New Mexico), water sports and outdoor music venues, and was almost always accompanied by her beloved corgi companion for the past seven years, Idgie. A capable amateur ranch hand, she spent many trips helping her father in his ranch work. Sue also loved to travel, taking many trips across Texas, the continental United States, and Europe, including multiple trips to her favorite place to spend a vacation: Disney World.
Sue is survived by her son John Lamm of San Angelo, TX; her sisters Barbi Pfeiffer of San Angelo and Luanne Hostler of Glendale, AZ; her mother Charlene Bowden of San Angelo; nephews Trevor Pfeiffer of San Angelo and Nathan Hostler of Glendale; and niece Melissa Hostler of Navarre, FL. Sue was preceded in death by her father Bobby Bowden in 1998.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Texas state or national park systems.
