Elizabeth "Betty" Ferrier
September 2, 1927 - April 6, 2021

Elizabeth Alberta (Schroeder) Ferrier, 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.
Betty was born on September 2, 1927 in Elgin, baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin, and was adoringly raised by Carl and Elizabeth (Lehmann) Schroeder.
Betty graduated from Elgin High School. She married the love of her life, John Ferrier, on May 4, 1946. They settled on one of the family farms and raised three children together. After raising three children, she worked in accounting at Rochester Public Schools for over 25 years. Betty played an active role in Ferrier Farms Partnership with John and their son, Craig. Betty and John loved and supported each other for 74 wonderful years. John passed away in December 2020.
Betty was a kind and loving woman. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and baking. Betty was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota. She greatly enjoyed living at Arbor Gardens, also in Eyota, the past six and a half years.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Dale) Allen; sons, Thomas (Paula) Ferrier and Craig (Joan) Ferrier; grandchildren, Cory (Barb) Allen, Carry Allen, Andrea (Zang) Duong, Brandon (Jen) Ferrier, Brooke (Brian) Hasleiet, Tanner (Lexi) Ferrier, Drew (Nikki) Ferrier, Kelli (Jared) Arn, Kendra (Brent) Liila, Lindsey (Garett) Houston, and 18 great- grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her two sisters, Adeline Shiek and Nadine Gillespie; one brother, Albert Schroeder; one sister-in-law, Shirley Schroeder; and her brothers-in-law Clayton (Carol) Ferrier and Burton (Judy) Ferrier.
Betty was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, John, in 2020; infant daughter, Suzanne; three brothers, Marvin, Darwin, and Frederick Schroeder; sister, Gloria Daniels; and great grandson, Nash Liila.
The family wishes to thank Pastor Vollrath, Dr. Yaeger and his staff, Arbor Gardens and staff, Chosen Valley Care Center and staff, and Hoff Funeral Home.
A private service will be held for family and relatives on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband at Evergreen Cemetery in Dover.
