Dan J. Black, 60, of Fort Dodge passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home following a brief battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 13th at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery on the Lizard, near Clare. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Dan is survived by his sons Dan and Chase, siblings Paula Hill, Julie (Rod) Isaacson, Lori (Brian) Breiholz, Todd (Toni) Black, aunts Mary Rogers and Opal Heun, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Black and mother Delores (Heun) Black.
Daniel John Black was born July 21, 1960 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. For several years Dan worked in the roofing industry. He enjoyed being outdoors with the animals, fishing, reading, and riding motorcycles. Dan loved his family and friends.
Memorials may be left to family discretion.
