Fredrick "Fred" Loos
September 4, 1931 - April 4, 2021

Fredrick 'Fred' Loos, age 89, of Payson, died Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 5:45 pm in the Barry Community Care Center..

Fred was born September 4, 1931 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Fred and Mayne Wagner Loos. He married Connie Caley on August 20, 1955 in Mendon. She survives.

Fred was a graduate of Seymour High School in Payson and had farmed his entire life. He also owned and operate Loos Farm Supply which he began in 1960. He was a member of the Plainville Methodist Church, the Adams County Farm Bureau and Elks Lodge #100. He and Connie liked to camp on weekends and travel. Fred was a very generous man who quietly helped a great number of people.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Connie, include 4 children, Gloria Bickhaus of Quincy, Deborah Loos of Fowler, IL, Susan (Tim) Schoenekase of Payson, IL, and Greg (Denise) Loos of Payson, IL; 11 grandchildren, Brant Bickhaus, Laurel Jones, Caley Legreid, Angelique Neisen, Clint Schaffnit, Timmy Schoenekase, Heather Borron, and Courtney, Kristen, Brady and Brett Loos; and 5 greatgrandchildren,

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Wilfred Loos, and four sisters, Evelyn Eftink, Ethel miller, Carol Sporey and Arlene Mller.

Services: 11:00 am Friday, April 9, 2021 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. L. D. Grant officiating.

Burial: Payson New Cemetery, Payson, Illinois

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
