July 14, 1937 - March 29, 2021

Leilani L. Nordquist, 83, of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
Leilani Nelson was born July 14, 1937 in Fort Dodge, IA. She was raised in Waterloo and then later Fort Dodge. She graduated from FDSH. She was united in marriage to Bob Nordquist on September 18, 1955 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at Friendship Haven and then at First Congregational Church for many years. Lani loved to play cards, especially bridge. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family and vacationing with them at the family cabin in Trego, Wisconsin.
Lani is survived by sons, Kent (Molly) Nordquist of Bella Vista, AR and Ted (Jane) Nordquist of Cape Coral, FL; granddaughters, Sara (Cory Davis) Nordquist-Davis of Omaha, NE; Kali Nordquist (Kris France) of Robinson, IL; sister, Vickey Messerly and sister-in-law, Becky (Joe) Riley; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Ruth (White) Nelson; husband of 63 years, Bob in 2018; brother, Allen Nelson.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
