Glen L. "Butch" Furnish Jr., 66, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, in Marion, Indiana. He was born on December 24, 1954, to the late Glen L. Furnish, Sr. and Janice (Harris) Furnish, in North Carolina. Glen graduated high school in 1973, and served in the US Army for two years. He owned his own business, performing background checks.
Glen enjoyed playing cards (especially euchre), gardening, and riding motorcycles. He was one of a kind and will be missed by many.
He is survived by children, Jennifer (Rich) Wilson, Clifton (Jenny) Furnish, Glen "Jake" (Kari) Furnish III, Noel Furnish, and Nik (Kay) Furnish; sister, Sandra "Sandy" (Doug) Pass; grand babies, Shaylee (Kyle) Sullivan, Brandon (Abby) Savage, Josh (Haley) Myers, Colbie, Corbin, Isabella, Airon, Madisyn, Titus, Brantley, and Bonni Furnish; great-grand babies, Jaxson Savage, Kynslee Sullivan, Maverick Savage, Evelyn Myers, and Harlow Myers.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Glen L. Furnish, Sr. and Janice (Harris) Furnish; sister, Patricia Horn; and brother, Howard Furnish.
Arrangements for Glen have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana 46928. A memorial service will be held on April 1, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at Morningstar Ministries, 6577 Wheeling Pike Jonesboro, Indiana 46938 with Pastor Johnny Armes officiating. Burial will take place at the Marion National Cemetery at a later date.
