Greece: passed away on March 27, 2021, in Rochester, NY. Carolyn is predeceased by her brothers, Edwin, Phil & Alan Schneider. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Anton Gilson; children, Kimberly (Eric) Lindenau, Danette (Stephen) Opaczewski & Michael Gilson; grandchildren, Taylor Gilson, Brigette Opaczewski, Syndey Opaczewski, Deborah Lindenau & Christopher Lindenau; several nieces & nephews.

Carolyn's life story will be shared during visitation, Tuesday, March 30th from 4:00-7:00 pm and Wednesday, March 31st from 2:00-4:00 pm. Her funeral service will follow visitation at 4:00 pm or you may join via Zoom , https://us02web.zoom.us/j/9853868613 Meeting ID: 985 386 8613 Passcode: 12345

Carolyn Betty Gilson was born on November 9th, 1938 in Buffalo, New York to Edwin and Catherine Schneider. She had 3 brothers, Edwin, Phil, and Alan.
When Carolyn was 13 years old, she met a young boy names Anton. Anton and Carolyn would eventually marry and have 3 beautiful children, Kimberly, Danette, and Michael.
Carolyn attended and graduated from Fosdick - Masten Vocational High School in 1959. She went on to become a beautician at Adam, Meldrum and Anderson in Buffalo, New York and Vic's Beauty Shop in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Carolyn enjoyed playing cards and crafting. She loved cooking lasagna and making homemade soups. She enjoyed hosting dinners and holiday events. Carolyn loved her pet dogs, Dusty, Tasha, Niki, Tucker and Bangles. Most of all in life, she adored her children and grandchildren.
