In loving memory of

Robert Mark Chapman

Robert, Bob to friends, Mark to family, 64, of Scottsdale passed away from COVID on March 12, 2021 in the loving company of his family.

Much loved husband and father, survived by wife Karen and two children Nathaniel and Madeleine, niece Laura and nephew Todd. He brought light to our days, warmth and love to our lives. His boundless enthusiasm for science, reading, travel, motorbikes, space, and life itself endeared him to everyone who got to know him. He was excited and looking forward to Madeleine and Christian's marriage celebrations this year and was planning the next chapters in his life with Karen to include travel and more time with Nathaniel, Jess, family and friends in the UK as well as many other retirement options. Bob/Mark's endearing and lovable smile, his kindness and such smart intellect will be missed, but cherished as he was truly a unique and irreplaceable husband, father and friend.

The family are so very grateful for the love and support of family, friends and coworkers. We are planning to send his ashes into space and we can share a link if you wish to make a donation.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 28 at 10.00a.m. at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary in Scottsdale. A livestream of the service will be available to view here https://vimeo.com/528412809 Sunday, March 28, 2021.

"We are devastated by Bob?s passing, and are holding you Karen, in our hearts as you grieve the loss of your soul mate. It?s a gift infrequently enjoyed, to meet kindred spirits with whom we immediately bond; vital, extremely interesting souls who radiate goodness and life, like Bob. While we?ve only enjoyed your company on a handful of occasions, we knew that you were a special couple with whom we hoped to enjoy much laughter and celebration in the coming years. We send our deepest condolences to Karen and family. "

"A much loved brother-in-law. Many memories back to the 1970\'s. You were always keen on motorbikes and travel and adventure. Not surprised when you left Brighton for Arizona about 30 years ago and very pleased to see you on your occasional trips back to England. We all very much enjoyed our get togethers, whether in Ely, Islington or Borough. Our love, forever. Tom and Chris. x"

"My Love for Bob was instantaneous. The moment I met him and his wonderful Family I felt a little brighter,  a little lighter, and a little more at ease. He had that effect on people. I still feel a little lighter and brighter for having met the man. I\'d like to think there is a little ball of energy floating around here somewhere; maybe a few atoms bouncing off each other, maybe just a quark or two. Maybe that\'s just my imagination but I bet my Friend English Bob would dig the concept! Rest in Peace my Friend. "

"Bob\'s kindness invited me, in a most welcoming way, to my time at American Express. Bob was always curious and that curiosity, like his kindness, was influencing and welcomed. Bob, my friend, you will be missed, I very much look forward to our particles crossing paths in this great vastness. "
