Kenneth Snyder, age 80, of Quincy, died Monday, March 15, 2021, at 7:00 pm in Blessing Hospital.
Ken was born September 12, 1940 in Seneca, Illinois, the son of Charles Robert and Cecelia Graves Snyder. He married Donna L. Roland on February 4, 1961 in Quincy. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2015.
Ken was an electrician by trade and a member of the I.B.E.W. 34 for over 60 years. Electrical work was a tradition that Ken carried on from his father, and that was also carried on by Ken's son, Randy. Ken was proud to have been coach for the YMCA tackle football league for 13 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed boat racing at the Twin Oaks Club.
Survivors include: three sons: Robert (Marcee) Snyder of Libertyville, IL; Randall (Denise) Snyder of Quincy, IL; and Troy (fiancée, Heather Brown) Snyder of Quincy, IL; three grandchildren: Brandon, Payton, and Cecelia; his sister, Jenean Wand of Payson, IL; his Red Heeler, Frostie; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Donna, Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
Services: 10:00 am Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Father Michael Kuse officiating.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
