In loving memory of

Scott Asher Meyer
May 31, 1964 - March 11, 2021

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Scott Asher Meyer, a beloved father, son and brother, passed away on Thursday March 11, 2021 in Austin, Texas. Scott was born on May 31, 1964 in Corpus Christi to Joe and Judy Meyer and grew up in Rockport, Texas. Scott married Bobbie Brooks Meyer in 1986. They were married for 25 years. After graduating from Texas State Technical Institute, Scott worked as a semiconductor technician at Motorola for many years and most recently was a Process Engineering Technician at Samsung, both in Austin.

An avid outdoorsman and gun enthusiast, Scott enjoyed dove hunting, deer hunting, target shooting and dirt biking. He enjoyed many of these activities with his son Owen, Scott's pride and joy. Scott was also the family chef, routinely cooking awesome meals for all. He loved food and sharing his cooking talents with his friends and family. A natural storyteller, Scott could capture an audience for hours, always leaving the crowd in tears from laughter.

Scott's family and friends will remember his ever-present big smile, the sheer pleasure of his company, how good he made them feel and how free they were to be themselves around him. He will forever be missed. The world is a lesser place without him.

Scott is survived by his most treasured love, his son, Owen Brooks Meyer of Austin, his devoted mother, Judy Owen Meyer, of Houston, formerly of Rockport, his two loving sisters, Kimberly Meyer Hammer and her husband, Dan Hammer, and Allison Meyer Moak and her husband Tas Moak, all from Houston and his five nephews that thought their Uncle Scott was the coolest, most amazing uncle, Ben Moak, Peyton Moak, Will Moak, Wyatt Hammer and Riggs Hammer. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Joe Ed Meyer and his grandparents, Margaret and Owen Rhodes and Katherine Meyer.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Harrell Funeral Home of Austin, 4435 Frontier Trail, 78745. Scott's memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
